3 stars. I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this series and I’ve always been interested to start it but just never did. I think this novella was a pretty good start. It’s full of a lot of steam and heat which I will never complain about but there’s also some great world building as well that really intrigued me. This is my first book by Kresley Cole and a lovely introduction into the Immortals After Dark world. A lot of things to take in from the demons to ghouls to Valkyries and vampires. I'm definitely intrigued especially if each book has intense and complex characters with the off the charts chemistry as the two in this book.
