Another beautifully written classic from Jane Austen. Persuasion is full of her always note-worthy characters, and of course, a plot twist here and there. Written in Austen's famous wit and humour, and life's challenges to overcome self-flaws, it will not disappoint any Austen fan.

Anytime I read Austen I am astonished by her profound powers of observation, her knowledge of the human condition, her superiority in writing and her strong sense of morality which never comes off as preachy.
I had expected a little more in the way of making the extreme longing and yearning of the protagonists more tangible. I think the Brontes do a better job here.
But it is still a marvellous piece of literature and I am glad I was sick for a few days, so I could indulge in this beauty.
