This book was so good and I don't know why it's taken me this long to read it. The main character was interesting and mysteries but he was so fun to read about. The individual stories in this book were captivating and I found myself speed reading trying to find out who killed who and what was happening. I am so glad that I read this book and will be looking for other books by this author.

I have enjoyed Kate Atkinson's books before but I don't think her writing style worked in this genre for me. I was hoping that the cases were end up being more connected than they were and it was quite confusing at times, jumping around a lot in time and place. On top of this, I didn't particularly warm to any of the characters including Jackson. The plot did keep me guessing and there were some good twists but this was overall not one of my favourites.
