The premise of this is great, a women's life gets ripped apart when she discovers her husband is a murderer, she is forced to take her kids and reinvent herself to live a normal life, but when her past catches up she doesn't know if anyone will survive.
I mean that all sounds great but what the author gave was a whiny, annoying main character who is completely insane with paranoia, hears her ex's voice in her head, talks about herself as if she is a whole new person not just a new identity, says

Not my usual kind of book although I have read Rachel Caine before. Thought I'd give this a try.
Lots of suspense, some social commentary that was spot on and a lot of twist that keep you guessing.

Page turning, fast paced read! I literally had trouble putting this book down. The premise of a an ex-wife of a serial killer trying to keep her children safe was unique. Layer that with other murders, a suspicious and gun toting community, and difficult teenagers, and it makes a thrilling mystery.

A regular mystery thriller read. I didn't get that "omg" feeling, when your heart is pounding like it's crazy, but it is something special. The wife of a serial killer- I think I have never read from that point of view, so definitely something new and interesting.

What I really hate? There is also book no. 2, and there are also books 3 and 4 and 5! I really like finished thrillers and mysteries!

Oops I married a serial killer novel. If the killing zone had not been her garage and he had not used her van, I might have believed this more, but I was interested enough to keep reading and did recommend it to my mother who loves a good scary mystery.
