I chose to read this book because I saw the movie trailer and it has Sam Claflin (Finnick from The Hunger Games) and I just had to find more out about it. I don't really understand the want that I had. But, I have followed that want and my short review is below.

2 stars. Very beautiful writing. This was my first book by Moyes and I can see why she’s acclaimed. And that was honestly the only thing I liked about this book. I don’t like emotional manipulation from books and this book was definitely trying to do that. But it didn’t work because I didn’t care. About any of it. Not the story nor the characters.

Beautifully written, but also a bit of a tearjerker. It's not normally my type of novel, but the characters were developed so well, that I was drawn in straight from the beginning.
