Shelves: horror, fantasy, american-lit, male-author, 05-stars, have-in-book-form, thriller-suspence

I heard that Doctor Sleep was in the early stages of becoming a movie and had to started reading right away for that main reason and loved it. I don't think it was better than the shining but i loved it and some twist that happen caught me off guard and I did question for a bit and tried to figure out how would that happen and all that.

I would recommend reading this book if you need a good psychology thriller horror type of book! ...more

It was cool to visit Danny, again. And I'm happy it wasn't just a rehash of The Shining. But I wanted to know more about the history of the True Knot. The Hat never really concerned me. Would LOVE a sequel to IT... ...more

This is one of those books you just want to carry around with you after you read it! Being the sequel to The Shining made me a little nervous since The Shining made me want to pull the covers over my head and buy a night light it made all the bad go away. Well by the end it did. It is still King and he is still VERY good at giving you nightmares!! LOVE AND HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I enjoyed this book. Let me say that first and foremost. I often found myself wondering what happened to Danny and I got the answer but it wasn't delivered in as scary a way as one would expect and that is the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. It had it's scary moments and it was an interesting idea. I liked the character development. I even enjoyed the ending. Just not scary... ...more
