It wasn't as good as the first one; naturally, when you have an evil organization that can manipulate the weather and grow inhuman creatures (hunger games anyone?) hellbent on performing dangerous experiments, at the forefront.
Loved the character development, with Newt a personal favorite, and the twists that were central to the plot were well done and you really felt the emotions the main character was going through. The environments were well described and immersive.

This book in my opinion was the best one in the saga. It was full of action and twists. One of the few books I enjoyed back in 2014
