I have no idea why some people classify this novel as a classic piece of literature. Just because it was written over a hundred years ago doesn't automatically make it a great novel. Orczy is not in the same league as Tolstoy or Dickens or Shakespeare. She did not write a number of brilliant works that hold up to the passage of time and remain relevant. Fantastic book! I loved it! There were heroes and villains, intrigue and disguises, suspense and plot twists, and action right down to the very end. I can honestly say that this was a fun, exciting, feel-good story!
