Tom Sawyer along with his friends in the village of St. Petersburg , carry out few expeditions driven by their imagination. Once stranded on an island, once in a cave, Tom gains the attention of the people of the village. He becomes a hero when he saves an innocent man from being falsely convicted of murder. I think the most known incident of this book is when Tom is given a job to paint a fence by Aunt Polly. He wants to have fun and devises a trick to allure other kids to do the job for him wh ...more
