What Members Thought
This is a classic Twain novel of the South and its various "characters." Being Southern myself I can recognize the individuals he portrayed and their beliefs and relationships make sense in the time of the book's setting. While it's important to remember this time in history, having read many books on the subject means that it rather annoys me with its over-the-top portrayals and racism.
