What Members Thought
If I liked psychological character studies in fiction form, I probably would have liked this book better. As it is, I like novels with plot, a range of interesting characters at least some of whom I like, and good writing. The End of The Affair has some good writing, but almost no plot and not a single character I was interested in except for the minor character of the priest who comes in briefly near the end of the book.

Jealousy. This book is not about love or hate; it is all about jealousy. The jealousy of man and the jealousy of God.
I listened to the audio version, read by Colin Firth and that was exquisite. He earns a solid five stars! I wish I could give the book the same rating.
