This one started of slow and I was unsure if I wanted to read it. But Allende takes her time bringing all of her characters to life.
This was the first book I requested when I joined Paperback Swap years ago. I was so excited to get my first "free" book. I took it to work and my Chilean co-worker saw it, picked it up, checked the inside and told me that the book was fantastic but I'd bought a terrible translation. Talk about a kill-joy!
