Good but kind of sappy. How many times did people need their ears surgically reattached because Anne talked them off?

I'm trying to decide if I would have loved this book as a kid or been bored to tears. I actually remember looking at this one disdainfully and putting it back on the shelf, so it could have happened, but somehow never did.

On one had it's a "girls' book" and has little action to counteract that...

On the other hand, it's quite funny - and I did manage to mostly enjoy a couple other "girls' books" when I was younger.

I guess it's a moot point now. I did enjoy it, though. Better late than never?

It is a great pity that this great book is not translated in Greek, so that young people can be acquainted with it.
