I'd considered starting this series for awhile but I just didn't get around to it before now.
I finally read book one The Summoning and I'm really happy that I did. It's a good book.
As it often is with a first book in a series there's a lot of background information and I felt that the first 2/3 of the book moved very slow, but the last 1/3 was great, really tense and with a lot of suspense.
In the beginning of the book I felt like the langueid was a little to young for me and I was afraid that I ...more

OK...I read this book a while back, so this will be a quick review as I try to remember what I thought. Look for reviews of the rest of the books in the Darkest Powers Trilogy in the future.

This book was incredible! I read it about a year ago but it was very interesting. I like that Chloe is a necromancer and can see ghosts that is different from the normal vampire/werewolves. A must read for anyone who loves supernatural.
Just finished this one, and now I want the next! I hate it when books end on cliffhangers...!
This book was an easy read. Just when I thought I'd get a little more background about the Lyle House, the doctors & it's inhabitants, it ended. It has drawn me in though, even if the people aren't my favorite supernatural characters. I'm curious to see how Liz takes the news...
