After having just finished a humorous books, I'm listening to this one now - the complete opposite. It's about a girl who is kidnapped and it's an unusual point of view - first person from her POV, but then she's talking to her captor and saying things like, "you put the water away." Which is different in a good way. The book is also read by Erin Gray who read the Parasol Protectorate books by Gail Carriger. She's an excellent reader.

That was a good book. I found myself rooting for this couple even though it was a very messed up situation. It was more messed up for Gemma then Ty.

A very scary, very real account of being stalked, abducted and held captive but by a sweet and tender captor.

This was a tough read, as a mother of two girls. I had to keep reminding myself NOT to read this book as a mom, but to read from the perspective of a young girl.

It's a story about survival and the will to live. But, it's also about growing up and forgiveness, even if it's forgiving yourself.

I loved her honesty and, at times, her stubborn fury. I think she's a voice that many older teens ...more
