What Members Thought
I'm of two minds of this book. It was a nicely paced novel with compelling characters and I enjoyed it. The story of the young teen who led a slightly sheltered life but thought there was more to life and was thrown in with a slightly wilder crowd and has a life changing experience is just getting a little old.
I suppose that for young adults, this is a fantasy. But I don't even think it was a fantasy for me when I was a young adult.

I enjoyed reading this book more than I expected too. It has many of the themes I have read in other John Green books, including teen boy angst and the mysterious but troubled crush. I liked the characters in this one, despite their many, many flaws and I appreciated that the adults, although not a large part of the story, were not simply grown ups out to get the kids (even when it is their job to do just that).
