What Members Thought
I loved this book! Such a fun dreamy atmosphere.
While it took some time (about 100 pages) to feel like the story really got going, the imagery alone is enough to make this worth a read, and once the plot gets going it's wonderful. My only critique would be that I wished for more direct interaction between the two so-called competitors, but what was there was well-written and, clearly, enough to leave the reader wanting more. I loved how the author took a circus and used her artistic abilities to create a world with words instead of paintings or drawings. Honestly, this one of the better books that I have read a long time!! Enjoy a nice cup of coffee or glass of wine, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
I purchased this book in London while studying abroad this summer and boy did I pick a good one. I've never read a book quite like it before. Highly recommend.

This book didn't really ever reel me in. I liked it, but I mostly finished it just to finish it. I think listening to the audiobook may have done it a disservice and perhaps if I'd just read it I would have liked it more.
