This latest installment in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series could not have been better named. Ever since Blay and Qhuinn came up on stage as background characters, their importance and appeal have only grown. Book after book in the BDB has developed their story, little by little, in the background.

EXPECTATIONS

A lot of fans, including myself, have been waiting for QHUAY to finally get their HEA and I believe most of us didn’t really expect to get a full-length novels out of it. I, for one, tho ...more

This is one of the most HIGHLY anticipated book of the year. I was one of those highly anticipating it. I am proud to say that as a major reader and lover of m/m romance, J.R. Ward has not only met, but exceeded my expectations of what I prepared myself for her handling of Qhuinn and Blay relationship. I laughed, screamed, pulled my hair out at particular moments. Definitely a emotional roller coaster ride of a book.

Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward

The Warden doesn't disappoint with this book! I have been waiting, rather impatiently for this book for a very long time! I wasn't disappointed & was really happy to have a major author finally add a gay couple to a series! I've been cheering for Qhinn & Blay from the beginning & was almost crushed when Quinn hooked up with Layla. Finally!!!...it feels like I've waited forever for these guys to work it out.
I'm not sure if I still like this series or if it's the idea of it. I somehow get tired and/or annoyed with some of the words now, plus there are sooo many stories and different people to keep track of that sometimes I get kinda lost, mainly because I don't really care. We have the brothers and the three guys, plus the females, and now we also have the bastards whatever and the two shadows, the drugdealer and the twins. ...more

Trying to keep the spoilers to a minimum here...

I wanted to love this book and it just seemed to fall short for me. I put this book down twice before reading another reviewer's post about it getting better after the ninth chapter. I wasn't to that point yet in my reading so I picked it back up and pushed through. I am really glad I did, the book was not a total bummer.

Many of the sub plots were much more interesting than Blay and Qhuinn's story. Assail and Sola's story was left ...more
