Oh God, I loved this book! I picked it up and read it in two days. I read until my eyes hurt. I am only disappointed to once again leave the world of Anita Blake. All the action takes place in Las Vegas so we don't see much of Jean Claude or hear anything of Richard. There is no real progress in any of her ongoing relationships and I don't see anything that happened in Vegas to have long term affects on St Louis. LKH finally gave me a story I could sink my teeth into! Ha! Look at me with the vampire humor! All kidding aside, this felt like the old days of Guilty Pleasures and Blue Moon! Light on the metaphyscial sex and heavy on the plot and details of Anita Blake's world. Although the end felt hurried and too neatly finished, this was by far the best Anita Blake book in years. HBO should have snatched LKH up years ago.

Hurray for a plot! AND we have a return to police work, yay! Skin Trade wasn't perfect but I'm happier now that Hamilton is cleaning up her act (as is Anita).

I was NOT PLEASED! The only saving grace for the second star was Edward! I hope that LKH pulls her head out of her butt, and at least pays attention to her grammar and repetition for her future books! ...more
This was probably my least favorite book of the series. It just felt boring.
