It somehow felt as though parts of the plots were missing. Everything went a bit too smooth sailing for my liking. Like what many others have said, the story might have played on the same even without the secondary characters like Chas and even Pamela. They made it less believable; along with the mishaps and coincidences which somehow enabled every central character to survive in the end.

This is the first "zombie romance" I've read, but the mix of post-apocalyptic, steampunk and young adult-ish romance really worked. An enjoyable debut, and I am interested to see where the author goes with the series.
