Reading this book a second time in preparation for Shadowfever.

Once again, the reread is so much better than the first reading! It is really a lot of fun to look for all the clues in this series. Who/What is Barrons? Who is the Lord Master? Why does everyone want the Sinsar Dubh?

How is it even possible that this one is better than Darkfever? Bloodfever exceeded my expectations as the second in the Fever Series. Moning is a genius. She keeps me coming back for more. If you love Urban Fantasy you will love the Fever Series! Take it from this Urban Fantasy Maniac, Read it! Bloodfever continues where Darkfever left off where Mackayla and Barrons continue their quest to locate the Sinsar-Dubh. I liked this one so much, because we get more and more thrown into the FEVER world How is it even possible that this one is better than Darkfever? I liked this one so much, because we get more and more thrown into the FEVER world and all kinds of complications happen for our heroine, Mackayla, but she faces them head on and strong.

Mackayla is out to find and kill the one who murdered her sister and search for the Sinsar-Dubh, but some things are too dangerous for her and she just can't face them alone. She needs the help of Jerricho Barrons and V'lane. She is learning to get stronger for herself and she won't take crap from anyone, even Mr. hot and seductive who runs the bookstore. And Barrons. It is exactly the same as Darkfever! I NEED to know more about this guy. I have already fallen for him, but I need something, but he just isn't giving in. I think Barrons likes to stay secretive and mysterious because it makes us girls go crazy.

I think Barrons and Mackayla are too wonderful together. I love their love/hate relationship because I find it so funny at times that you can't help but laugh at the two of them. It is also funny that they are so different from each other Mr. Dark and Handsome and Ms. Barbie doll Clone. I think that I am seeing some change in both of them that the other causes. I can see that Barrons is becoming more likable and alive with Makayla and really caring for her and Barrons is making Makayla a stronger person.

So finally we get some more V'lane. I love him! I have to say that I love him, but Barrons has my heart. V'lane the sex-by-death fae is someone that maybe is not as bad as we think first off, but I think sometimes, can we trust him? But V'lane really looks out for Mackayla and her well-being. And I can tell he doesn't want to be hated by Mackayla.

I thought that Moning does a great job with the world building, character development and storyline and I really can't wait to see what happens from here. I know that I am going to love the next book, Faefever just as much as I loved Bloodfever. I have borrowed these books from the library, but I most definitely will be purchasing them. I just have to have a copy of these exciting and thrilling books.

I fought the Fever for as long as I could! I was bombarded with tweets saying how amazing this series is, people telling me that they were succumbing to the Fever and suffering from its latest symptom, the killer cliffhanger left after Dreamfever and I simply said: NO! No, I won’t come down with this Fever and deal with the wait for this final installment and suffer like everybody else! And I also thought to myself, “Who the Hell is this Barrons dude people keep swooning over?”, even though I have Curran, Zsadist, Bones and so many more lovely males to keep me company, that alone let me intrigued.

I gave in an inch when I purchased the four books in the series that were available, but I still didn’t read them. I was going to avoid suffering this cliffhanger for as long as possible… and I almost did it! Damn it! Last week I gave in to the Fever and now, there is NO turning back! I am a convert and I am burning up!

Confession time… Darkfever didn’t impress me. I didn’t love it and I was not blown away at all. We meet this shallow woman named Mac that is self-absorbed and selfish even when dealing with the loss of her dear sister. We get this jerk of a man that is so rude and tough that even his hotness I ended up ignoring for a while. Add to the mix a Fae Prince that has such a strong sexual vibe that the heroine almost gets raped in the middle of a museum. I cringed and almost put the book down, let alone thought about reading the next installments, but thanks to my blogging and tweeting friends I didn’t give up… I am SO glad I didn’t!

I came to realize that my problems with Darkfever were all about the characters and not the story or the writing. THe characters need to be the way they are at that point and only by continuing reading the series and opening my mind and heart to the Fever, I was able to appreciate the amazing job KMM has done with this series.

I devoured all four books in a few days! I have to warn you that each book kills you a little bit with a cliffhanger in the end, but since they are all out already, that can be dealt with by simply buying the next one LOL The Fever series is a flower amongst deserted lands. It’s a Jewel I regret not having harvested before.

There is so much action and such an incredible world building in this series that you will probably consider calling a couple sick days at work, so you can sink your teeth into these novels. Mac’s journey is one of incredible strife, she is a woman seeking vengeance and finding that the world she knows is nothing like she thought. She is put through some extreme and simply unbelievable situations and she comes out better and stronger every single time! I went from hating her guts to admiring her through the novels and I have the brilliancy of KMM’s storytelling to thank for that!

Barrons… what can I say about the mystery that this man is? Now I understand why so many of my twitter friends swoon over him. He is hot and sexy in a VERY Alpha male way, dare I say… that he is the Most Alpha male of them all? I DARE!

After the astounding cliffhanger we were left with at the end of Dreamfever, I can’t wait for January 18th to arrive. I have a lot of expections about the last book in the series, Shadowfever. The most important? I want Mac and Barrons together… I know this isn’t a Paranormal Romance, but I have hopes for those two and since KMM has said that the is a romance in the series, I can’t wait to see how she makes it happen!

My dear readers, if you have the Fever there is not much I can’t say that you don’t know already, but if you haven’t read this series yet… Get your ass in gear and buy these books RIGHT NOW! I promise you won’t be disappointed! ...more

I like this book more than the first. Mac is growing on me and Im already half in love with Barrons!
Surprising I like the progression of their relationship. As I was told this isn't a romance novel. This isn't a happily-ever-after-with-the-man-of-your-dreams kind of book. Im not even certain they will get together. But Barrons is becoming a more important person in Mac's life. Those little moments where they know what the other one is thinking are my favorite. I really really enjoyed this book, it would have been way better with much much less rambling but the plot and characters are awesome.
Now I can't wait to read the next one... I NEED to know who's moving the damn book!

Yet another well written addition to this series. Once again we are plunged into Mac's life, with her vivid character seeming to leap off the page. Not to mention the precarious situations she ends up finding herself in time and again. The list of villians keeps growing and not a question has been answered as to who her true allies are.
