Definitely better than Twilight, imo. Sunshine is a person; someone that I could identify with. She likes baking and reading and knows she can act a little bitchy sometimes (in other words, she's not perfect ad she knows it). She loves her family and has a life that even though she may not love it all the time, she knows that it's an essential part of who she is...

Sunshine was a very interesting interpretation of vampire lore. This book was a little Beauty & the Beast, a little Buffy the Vampire Slayer (as already reviewed by others), as well as a little bit Men in Black. I was captivated by the relationship between Sunshine and Bo, but I felt the author got carried away with too many mystical characters (Goddesses, Goblins, Half-Bloods, etc). I also thought Mckinley's writing was a little difficult to follow at times....she assumed the reader knew what s
