Saying that I can't really get into this series would be the understatement of the year. Strike one, Strike two, and Strike three and now I'm out! The first book in the Elder Races Series, Dragon Bound was truly amazing, but the fact remains that it took me awhile to get into the book, maybe at least half the book it took me to really get interested. Don't even talk to me about the other books, because those were duds. But what I'm saying is I'm done. This is the third chance I"ve gave this seri ...more

Reread Review: I am upgrading my review to a 4 star on rereading. I am reading each book back to back and I a sure that enhances each book but that is not why I rescored the book.

The romance and coming together of the Djinn and the Oracle as equals is powerful and touching. It is really moving romance with grief and love and healing. The world building is excellent as always. I am really glad I reread it and plan to do so again!

First Review; I enjoyed this and stayed up late to finish it. I am

This book was great. I loved Grace (the Oracle) more than any other heroine in this series thus far. I could relate to her more than any of the others. She is thrown into the Oracle business in the midst of her grief (her sister and brother-in-law died in a car crash) and her new role as guardian to Chloe and Max (niece & nephew). Khalil (Djinn) is also very likable, but what made him even more so, is the fact that he cared about the children.
The best thing about this story wasn't all of the par

An interesting mix, a Djinn Prince, Khalil, and a new Oracle, Grace, a descendant of the Delphic Oracle. Sparks fly.

This was a slow build-up to passion, with cute kids thrown in for free. Lots of familiar faces pop up and the overall story arc advances.

The sneaky bad guys seemed a little lame, despite the explosion, but the focus is definitely on Grace & Khalil.

This story was a return to the HEA goodness of Dragon Bound, and was certainly better than #2 & #3.

Lord's Fall #5 looks to continue the

I really liked the relationship between Grace and Khalil. The progression toward affection of Khalil was well handled for a being as old as him. Sometimes it seems to easy or rushed from indifferent to madly in love but this relationship sprang from an unlikely angle and I really liked it.

Another great book in the Elder Races series. The story was engaging and I loved both Khalil and Grace, although sometimes some of what Grace was doing or thinking annoyed me a little. And I could do without the chores thing (my book friend Dina explains perfectly lol). Another thing, I wasn't quite sure how I was suppose to pronounce Djinn (Jinn with the D silent or Dee-Jinn?). But these are just minor things really and they didn't not take away from my enjoying the story. There is a surprising ...more
