4 ½-5 stars – Paranormal Romance

GAWD this cover is gorgeous!

And Strider? He’s a sexy, snarky, narcissistic, surprisingly sweet, possessive, protective, and all around badass, fun-loving warrior. His constant need for challenge to assuage his demon of Defeat and egotistical inner dialogue is freaking hilarious. He’s one of my favorite Lords and Kaia the Kick-Ass (my chosen nickname for her) Harpy is just perfect for him. Darkest Surrender is a great addition to the LOTU series.

This is the story of Bonin' the Barbarian and Baby doll. Otherwise known as Strider and Kaia. First off I love this story. I am a huge fan of the LOTU, their demons and gals. I think I may be in love with the demon of Defeat. He is cute with his protectiveness of Kaia. Anyway, Kaia must fight in the harpy games and needs a consort to stay healthy. Strider provides the medicine and the bodyguard muscle. Strider tries to resist the loving but he is no match for Kaia the ass kicking hottie. Who kno ...more

i like Strider and i like Kaia. Though for me GS is no where near Kresley Cole, this book is one of the most decent book in LOTU series.

Kaia is sister of Gwen, wife of Sabin keeper of Doubt. Once, few books before, Kaia slept with Paris before she understand that Strider is her consort. For harpies, consort is their one and only, the one man that can calm down their harpy within. So Kaia made several attempts to win Strider but unfortunately because of what happened with Paris (the sexorcist) a

4 1/2* Loved it! Probably one of the funniest LOTUs, but by page 64 I had both laughed and cried. It was that good. One of my favorite quotes:

"'Lysander!' Bianka called, once again drawing Strider's notice. ... "Did you like them, or what?"

Lysander's expression softened. 'I did, my love. I liked them. I like everything you wear.'

Pathetic, Strider though. Just because a guy was in love didn't mean he had to pussy up.

Oh, look, there was Kaia! Strider jumped to his feet, waving at her to get her

How sad is it that I forgot I finished this yesterday.
It's been a while since I've read this series, so trying to keep up with Strider and Kaia was difficult. I found I wasn't all that into them. Paris is the next book and I can tell now that I won't be into him and Sienna either.
I will just be reading to keep up with the overall storyline.
William is a fave and Kane sound interesting, so that should keep me going.
But really, the love scenes for when the Lords find their mates don't do it for

I loved this book, it takes second place in my favourite LOTU books.

Kaia is such a fun character, she's slightly nuts with severe ADD but that just adds to her character. Harpy's are really viscious and bloodthirsty, it made for an entertaining read! Strider caved i easier than I thought he would. I'm glad he was no longer panting after Haidee though...

I have an overwhelming urge to revisit Kresley's IAD books now :)
