I read this LOTU prequel short story in the Into the Dark anthology and although it's an okay read, I didn't really gain any further insights into the series and it's just a bit too short. 3 stars.

Not sure this was worth the price of the ebook. It was ok - provided an interesting little story as to how the demons got into Pandora's box afterall. It also explained the relationship between Hades and Lucifer. And while I really liked the idea of the Goddess of Oppression, no matter what her childhood, it seems to me that a Goddess of Oppression should be such a wimp. It was a quick read - took me about 20 minutes to read it (if that) and the writing is definitely better in the later installm ...more

This is a prequel to the Lords of the Underworld series, so I thought I'll start the series with reading this short book to see if it grabs my attention..

Kadence is a goddess, who is some kind of warden to hell and Geryon is the Gaurdian of hell.. For hundreds of years he has been guarding it not leaving his post, while she visits daily to check that everything is ok.

They secretly fall in love with each other, then are forced to test that love if it's true or just some infatuation.
