I got this on a list of other books published around the same time that were getting a lot of hype. The writing is solid, and it follows the old-school Gothic Romance novel formula, with some darker twists. My problems with the book are two fold. The first is that the protagonist is a privileged rich girl, and I was never able to really care what happened to her. Slow start. Picked up after about half of the book. I was considering quitting, but read another review that said it was worth it. After about page 165 ish, much better.
