Hmmmmm.......even better than the 1st, I was glued to every page and flew through this book in no time, BUT -on a serious note - I would have given this book 5 stars except for the ending of it made me drop the rating a whole star. Yes, a WHOLE star, not actually wishing goodreads offered 1/2 star settings, 'cause I'm taking a WHOLE one for that ending :) (and no, it wasn't just because I'm eager for the next one....this time)!! Nice continuation to the series. Sophie is getting to know her Dad and learning to control her Demon magic. She finds out who she has been betrothed to, and is also getting to know more about him.
Will she go thru with the Removal? Will she become the Head of the Council? One question is answered, the other is still up in the air at the end of the book. I'm anxiously awaiting the third book. ...more

Sometimes the second book in a series gets kind of boring, but I enjoyed the second book as much as I did the first! Can't wait to read the third!
