As I started reading this book, I felt a tinge of déjà vu. The main character is a kick-ass girl, and assassin. The main male character was a vampire. I then thought of the Night Huntress series and began comparing the two. Well that’s not very fair of me. The two series are very different, and I like each series on their own. This was just okay. I finished it because of a challenge, but otherwise, I might not have. The story didn't really keep my interest and I'm sort of eh about the Vayl/Jaz relationship. Not really feeling the chemistry there so far. I have heard good things about the series though, so I'll give the next a chance and hope it improves.
