i actually found this book really bad.. obviously there are some people who must have found it really good but i thought it was horrible... this is the only book that i have skipped through and i really wanted it to be over because even though i didn't like it i always try to finish the book and it's series to give it another chance, but even though i finished the book, i could not continue the series... although i do like Snow... who knows why...

Disjointed and uneven doesn't begin to describe this book. The premise was pretty interesting and I was willing to give it some leeway as a first book in a series, but it was a struggle to make it through to the unsatisfying non-conclusion. A bit of a shame as some of the concepts and secondary characters in the book are quite good - just sadly moreso than the primaries. Much as I love the paranormal genre, I'd give this one a pass. :(

This book just isn't my cup of tea. It is my first by this author and while there were lots of new and interesting ideas it just seemed too slow and a bit confusing for me. I must say I'm happy I don't live in this world. The whole thing with the CSI shows was really creepy.
