I got caught up in the story immediately and read it straight through, carried by the action and emotion.
Cat is a kick a$$ heroine with a unique background and a touching mix of vulnerability and bravado. Bones (who reminds me a lot of Spike) is a few hundred years old and as they work together he breaks down Cat's prejudices and a relationship develops.

The only reason it took me so long to read this book was because I had a hard time finding it. The second one was always in stock, and then the third one came out. Luckily, I got my hands on this one. There were points I was laughing out loud and even the sex scenes didn't bother me too much. I am really glad to have the second book on hand so I could start it immediately after finishing this one.

This is my newest series to love. Well written, characters are lovable, there are even a few lines/cars I remember from Twilight! See if you can find them LOL. So my fav vamp fighters/lovers now include Sookie Stackhouse, Rose Hathaway, Anita Blake, Mercy Thomson and now Catherine Crawfield.

Cat is a Half Vamp and Half Human. who kills vampires to avenge her mothers date rape.
she picks up bones and from this moment onwards she is immediately torn about him. she loves him .... she loves him not.
slightly frustrating(just go with bones). this book has all the big boxes checked for me.

Read years ago really enjoyed this . I thought I would try it again just as good on this re read
