I have been seeing readers swooning over Shadowfever for the past few weeks, which got me curious and I just had to check them out.

Okay. Well, I did have hard time getting into this story in the beginning but after I started getting into it, it wasn't half bad as i thought it would. Actually the story was pretty good. But too much descriptive on mythical creature and what was that Shisa-du

Not quite what I expected. There are two naked people on the cover, I was under the impression there was some romance in here, nope nada nothing.

I wanted to smack Mac around quite a few times, she was just quite dumb. The world created here was a bit creepy, and confusing. The ending was a bit of a let down.

I kept expecting more from this. There seemed to be no action until the very end. Because it's the first in the series, it was all build up, but it didn't even seem like world-building, just set-up. Mac was not compelling, nor was Barrons, or V'lane. I was quite disappointed seeing how so many people love this series. However, I have the next two already, so I'll probably get around to reading them, but not anytime soon. ...more
