I put off reading this because the TV show was even too smutty for me. I can ready it, but watching it is weird.
That being said, I liked the book. I didn't really see how it can go from Hi Bill, to I love him so quick, but I toss it up to Vampire alure. However, Sookie is not smart. I tried starting the second book and couldn't do it. I did look it up, and Sookie being dumb is on purpose by the author, because she thought that anyone that would date a vampire would be dumb.
