This was a fun book, though I felt a little... I don't know, I guess let down by the ending. I can't put my finger on why, exactly. I think I am just getting tired of books where our intrepid hero / heroine busts ass to save a bunch of worthless ingrates who have neither appreciation nor even interest in what she does to help them. Enjoyed this first book of series going on to next in series. Slightly different concept sure there is more to come regarding Charlie and her brother.

I read about 75 pages into this book and it just didn't do it for me. I can't put my finger on it either - the writing was pretty good, the story concept was intriguing, and the characters were developing nicely. But, the chemistry just wasn't there. I'll try again in about 6 months - so I'm not going to give it a rating, just yet.
