This was my second attempt at this book, having put it down the first time because of Lachlains hilarious comedy scottish accent (which still reminds me of Gameskeeper Willy from the Simpsons).
It's a powerful love story, incredibly sexy. Lachlain is a really good character (accent aside), the strength of his feelings for Emma are inescapable. Paranormal Romance is not my regular thing. But I indulge sometimes like quick fantasy MBs when I am recovering from one urban fantasy series and before plunging into another. Kind of like a breather space. So I usually have low expectations. This was kinda okay. Not as bad as some other's I have read in the genre. But still kinda dragging, felt could have been wrapped up tighter. Anyway, a time-pass read.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this immensely. I love alpha males especially werewolf ones but I felt a bit uncomfortable with the hero treating the heroine so badly. It was the same with the first one. I feel guilty for enjoying the rest of the story when she's kidnapped, terrorised, suffers sexual abuse verging on rape and then goes on to have a happy ever after with him. Stockholm Syndrome no doubt played a part in these girls eventually falling for these guys. I'm not a die hard feminist but
