It took me a while to warm up the Cat and Bones series, the last two At Grave's End and Destined for an Early Grave I enjoyed immensly and I was hoping that First Drop of Crimson would be more like them. Unfortunately I admit I was dissappointed.

i read this book in one sitting. Reading this one for the BOM in my group.
I loved it! I had forgotten how much I loved the night huntress series and the world that was created.
Cat and Bones are in this one but they are not the main Focus, as Spade and Denise are.
the author has her usual steamy sex scene as well as a bit of butt kicking and humor to go with it.

This wasn't as good as the actual series novels that feature Cat and Bones. I know Denise has had it rough, but she was really whiny in this book. As always, I loved the world and all the other characters so this was still a solid read for me.
