Merit was a grad student when she was attacked by a vampire. She was turned into one by Ethan to save her life. Ethan also happens to be the Master of the Cadogan House, one of 3 vampire Houses in Chicago. Vampires are recently "out" to the general public and with 1 (soon to be 2) murders, the general public is worried.
I wish more attention had been paid to the murders (and solving them). The villain at the end I felt was anti-climatic. It was open ended- some vamps were okay with revealing them

When I started this book I really did not expect to like it as much as I did. I swear I was up the entire night reading this book, I lost so much sleep, but it was so worth it. Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill is definitely a must-read. We got action, mystery, romance, comedy and much more. This was everything I love in an urban fantasy book. We have grad student, Merit who was comming out of her university one night and was attacked by a vampire and was saved/turned into a vampire by master vampi ...more

Finally, a book that's NOT about a bunch of whinny teenagers...
I loved the book, I'm already reading "Friday Night Bites" & I

No spoilers here.. There are plenty of them listed, before my review.
I can't tell you how many times I had to cover my mouth from laughing out loud over the humor in the book.. I live alone & with 2 cats so,
I'm pretty sure my neighbors thought I was doing gosh knows what considering I didn't put the Kindle down till I fi

The beginning of a really promising series! This is a perfect urban fantasy book, without getting too dark. And I think it covers all the basics as far as races!

There's a lot of vampire politics, rules, betrayal, bureaucracy, lovable characters, lust-worthy characters, even annoying ones, plenty of sexual tension and a good amount of humor involved in this book. Not a lot of action, but plenty of mystery and a very well written story and world building!

The story is based in Chicago, where the va

This book was a total success, I loved it!
I am sooo reading the next one in the series... oh my gosh!, I couldn't believe it when Ethan told Merit to accept Morgan... I'm hoping she'll fall for Morgan and Ethan will regret his super smart decision!

3.5 stars. This book grabbed me from the beginning. I really like the characters so far and the love story. I wished that there was more to the plot. I hope it gets better as the books go on.
