4.5 stars. I have no idea why I waited so long to start this series, because this book was awesome! Merit is a fantastic heroine, the love triangle isn't annoying, and the secondary characters are really fun. The story ended a little abruptly, but I know there are about a dozen more books for me to catch up on so there's no need for me to wait. Fantastic. ...more

A wonderful new series...I couldn't put this book down. I know there are a lot of vampire stories out there but it is something I never get sick of reading. Merit is a strong and sassy woman, just the kind of character I love. I can't wait to read more in the series. ...more

I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series. One aspect that I liked was how Neill made Merit's inner vamp like a caged tiger that was prowling inside of its cage. She really nailed the inner beast conflict in my opinion. ...more
