Wow. This was a really fun new fantasy that I just could not put down.
The pacing was break-neck. And by that I mean that the plot of this book could easily spread across two books in the series. I am shocked at how much we got through, because I didn't expect what happened in the end of this book to happen until a bit further down the road.
That's not really a criticism - the pacing is part of what made it so riveting. But I think there were places where we whipped through a little too fast, and ...more
