Do you ever read a book where the text kind of blurs together and before you know it you've skipped ahead two pages and don't even know what you read? That was ACOTAR for me. I liked the book...I liked the story...I just had a hard time sticking with it.

Oh, jeez. Where do I even start? When I first heard about this book, I was super freaking excited to read it and when the reviews came rolling in I really wanted to read it, but I got to say this book was way over-hyped about. It was good, but not great. It definitely had great potential, but it didn't 'wow' me like I expected it to.

Sarah J Maas is definitely one of my new favorite authors. Her stories are addicting and you don’t want to put them down. I had forgotten that A Court of Thorns and Roses was a retelling, which I think was a good thing because it wasn’t until after I finished the book and was discussing it with my husband that he figured out what it was a retelling of. I don't rate books like this as YA in the "teen" sense. Pretty mature. Great characters.
