This was still a 5 star read for me. It is such an engrossing read. Feyre is strong because she has to be, and I think that's why I find her so relatable. I do think that she was an enabler for her family though. I didn't like Nesta at all. She was such a b*tch to Feyre and for what? I would have understood acting that way toward her father, since he basically let his daughter take responsibility for the family instead of stepping up more.

I ordered this book as soon as I read the first book of the Throne of Glass series, not realising it was about faeries. I have never been a fan of them, and for some reason I never understand the hype about them and tend to drop the series after a book or two.
