Holy guacamole.
I really thought this was a stand alone.
It was ...different..to put it mildly. I have no words. It was magical..and strange.. and so thoroughly imagined. I'm in awe.
Its also quite a long read and to be honest it was slow going for me because I couldn't quite shake the feeling that something bad was going to happen so I put off reading each chapter day by day.
Anyway, I imagined the avatar movie but prettier. Also Dakota Fanning when she was 6 years old. Unlike the movie, this on ...more

This book was very beautifully written. The story centers around Lazlo Strange and his odyssey to find the lost city of weep. I loved all the characters from lazlo to even Minya. You couldn’t help but feel so much for them. I would highly recommend this book for people who love fantasy. The readers who love being wrapped up in a beautifully written story.

The ending sucked and the story was longer than it needed to be. Technically a 3 stars, but the ending was so disappointing. What happens to the protagonists feels so unnecessary. Also, the three other godspawn, take up so many pages to finally be useless and superfluous.
