Darcy and her sister Harper are Wishcrafters; witches that can grant wishes assuming the wisher has a pure heart, wish is genuine, and does no harm. Seriously, we need the ability to give books 1/2 stars! This one was more of a 3 1/2 star book for me, but I couldn't lower it to just 3 so it's at a 4.
I am very interested in continuing this series. I like witch stories & this one has an interesting take on them. They all have their own specialties, some where a little ridiculous (a LawCrafter, really, a witch specializing in Law. Whatever.) The others were more understandable. Not very well written. The conversations are repetitive. The plot is cliche. in fact EVERYTHING is cliche. Why did the author even bother putting in the magic when they wanted to write a story about a ditz and her romance? The way the narrator treats her sister is unpleasant. If her sister committed crimes connected to activism, why would she assume she was the pickpocket? And why was everyone upset by a pickpocket, but not the murder? It made no sense.
