This book alternates chapters from the perspectives of Atticus, Granuaile and Owen. All three very different and all three hold my interest (this isn't always the case in shifting perspectives in novels). The fact they are all three doing different things, which lead up to the group c ...more

I love Atticus. I love Oberon. I love most of the secondary characters.
But for the last couple books, I've had a major problem: I don't like Granuaile. I liked her until we started getting chapters from her POV. But her self-righteous, condescending inner monologue killed her for me. Quick-look at the Book
Aaaaaaaand Atticus causes yet another friend his life when he takes on the entire Vampire race. He muddles things up even more by promising his friendly witch coven something that'll be very difficult to deliver.
Owen faces his own challenges and has his own triumphs, raising a new generation of Druids.
Same goes for Granuaile, who now bears Loki's mark, and will go to any length to get rid of it.

This new book was fantastically funny. Orla the Irish wolfhound and Owen made the the book for me.
