This book gets a much more satisfied four stars than the first in the series.
I'm pleased. No, this book isn't perfect - the writing, while mostly okay, has some sentences that make me cringe; the characters, though strongly written, are far from lovable (and I have a near-impossible time caring about them in the slightest - but it's a good book, and besides those complaints, it's pretty solid.
