Amy's life takes a dramatic turn when her father dies in an accident. Her mom decides to move from California to Connecticut, and Amy has to drive their car across the country and meet her there. The problem is that Amy no longer drives because of the accident, so her mother's friend's son, Roger, is assigned to drive with her across the country.

Loved this story, and was surprised at how much I adored the supporting characters. Nothing too earth-shatteringly new here but a well-written, solid contemp with romance, travel, family issues, and a main character whose personal journey is the star.

A very quick read, with likeable characters, and not too heavy (even with the main character heavily grieving her father's death). 3 1/2 stars.
