Interesting perspective of the daughter of foreign "royalty" as she and her mother and brother become refugees in the US after her father is killed. Good writing, many good discussion points, but overall, not one I expect teens to grab on their own. Good choice for a book club (especially a mother-daughter book club) or a class discussion on current events or other cultures.
