The only thing that could have made this book better would have been dual pov.
How is it that many of these romance writers can write a great male character and fail utterly when it comes to the heroines? I am so sick of these spiteful females that parade their independence by marching into a peril. On one hand they scorn the man that tries to help them, then whine if the man isn't there to help them. Pathetic.

I loved this book but couldn't finish it, too long, too much boring historical information and not enough romance. Loved the H but the h was irritating, I didn't feel sorry for her.
