I had wanted to read this book because I knew there was a movie coming out, and I usually like to read the book before the movie. Roth delivers a suspenseful tale that grabs the reader's attention from the very beginning and never lets go. Divergent is a tale of a young woman finding out who she really is as she faces so many different tests forcing her to rely on herself. My top read of 2011!!!!
I had a love/hate relationship with this book. I liked the main character, and I thought the writing flowed well. But so much of it felt to me like a clone of Hunger Games that it was hard to really enjoy it. Probably not going to continue this trilogy, but not bad.
