What Members Thought
I was always unsure as to whether I would enjoy reading the Lord of the Rings; despite loving the films I wasn't sure if I could read traditional fantasy, which I assumed to be plot driven without flourishes of prose. I'm pleased to report my doubts were completely unfounded! This book is wonderful, not only in the sense that the adventure is thrilling but in the way it is written. Tolkien's prose glides along effortlessly with natural flow and rhythm like one of the many rivers that wind ribbon
