What Members Thought
This is a fairly decent collection of "updated" fairy tales from around the world. Familiar names like Joyce Carol Oates, Neil Gaiman, Michael Cunningham, and more create "new stories sewed from old skins" by adding twists and spins to classic stories. And like many of the grimmer fairy tales, these stories are definitely NOT for children.

so so mixed, the introduction was sublime ans set my expectations so high. However thee were only a few really strong tales, the colour master, orange, the pelican child and catskin come to mind. Many took all the magic and wonder out of the fairy tales and substituted it with depressing modern reality: drug problems, failed relationships and sexual abuse.
